Ingredients
- •1 scoop (about 30g) vanilla protein powder
- •1 cup old-fashioned oats, blended into flour
- •1 tsp baking powder
- •2 eggs
- •3/4 cup milk of choice
- •1 tbsp melted butter or oil
- •1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- 1.Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease it.
- 2.Blend the oats into a fine flour, then whisk together with the protein powder and baking powder in a bowl.
- 3.In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla together.
- 4.Combine the wet and dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.
- 5.Pour batter onto the hot waffle iron and cook according to your iron's instructions, usually 3-5 minutes, until golden and crisp.
- 6.Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve with fruit or a light drizzle of syrup.
Tip
Protein-powder batters cook a little faster than regular waffle batter because there's less starch to set — check yours a minute or two before your iron's usual waffle time to avoid overcooking.
