Ingredients
- •2 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen overnight
- •1 scoop (about 30g) protein powder, chocolate or vanilla work best
- •2-3 tbsp milk of choice
- •Optional mix-ins: peanut butter, cocoa powder, crushed nuts
Instructions
- 1.Add the frozen banana slices to a food processor or high-powered blender.
- 2.Add the protein powder and 2 tbsp of milk.
- 3.Blend, stopping to scrape down the sides, adding another tablespoon of milk if it's too thick to move.
- 4.Blend until it reaches a smooth, soft-serve consistency — this can take a couple of minutes with a lot of scraping.
- 5.Fold in any mix-ins by hand, then eat immediately or freeze for 30 minutes for a firmer scoop.
Tip
Use very ripe, spotty bananas before freezing them — they blend smoother and taste sweeter than underripe ones, which matters more here since there's no added sugar to cover for it.
