Protein Hot Chocolate
A thick, rich hot chocolate made with casein protein instead of whey — casein's naturally creamy texture makes this taste closer to melted chocolate than a thin cocoa packet.

Ingredients
- •1 cup milk of choice
- •1 scoop (about 30g) chocolate casein protein powder
- •1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- •Mini marshmallows or whipped cream, for topping (optional)
Instructions
- 1.Warm the milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, or in the microwave for about 90 seconds.
- 2.Whisk in the cocoa powder until fully dissolved.
- 3.Remove from heat and let cool for a minute, then whisk in the protein powder until smooth and no clumps remain.
- 4.Pour into a mug and top with marshmallows or whipped cream if using.
Tip
Casein is thicker and slower to dissolve than whey, so whisk longer and more vigorously than you would for a whey-based drink — it's worth the extra effort for how creamy the final texture comes out.
