Ingredients
- •3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk or skim milk
- •1 scoop (about 30g) chocolate protein powder
- •1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- •Sugar-free sweetener to taste (optional)
Instructions
- 1.Warm the milk in a small saucepan over low heat, or in the microwave for 60-90 seconds — it should be warm, not boiling.
- 2.Whisk in the cocoa powder until dissolved.
- 3.Let the milk cool slightly, then whisk in the protein powder until smooth.
- 4.Sip slowly rather than drinking quickly — this is a small-portion drink meant to be taken over time, not gulped.
Tip
Let the milk cool for a minute or two off the heat before adding protein powder — whisking it into near-boiling liquid is the most common cause of a grainy, clumped hot cocoa.
