Ingredients

  • 2 packets (about 14g) unflavored gelatin
  • 2 cups water, divided
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) flavored protein powder
  • Sugar-free sweetener to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1.Sprinkle the gelatin over 1/2 cup of cold water in a bowl and let it bloom for 5-10 minutes.
  2. 2.Heat the remaining 1 1/2 cups of water until hot but not boiling, then whisk it into the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
  3. 3.Let the mixture cool for a few minutes, then whisk in the protein powder until smooth.
  4. 4.Pour into 4 small cups or ramekins.
  5. 5.Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, until fully set and jiggly.

Tip

Whisking the protein powder in after the gelatin liquid has cooled slightly, rather than while it's still hot, keeps the texture smooth instead of grainy or clumped.
