Electrolyte Popsicles

An electrolyte drink mix frozen into popsicles — slower to get down than a full glass, which makes them a good option after a hot workout when chugging fluids doesn't sound appealing.

Ingredients

  • 2 packets electrolyte drink mix, any flavor
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 cup fresh fruit, diced (optional, for texture and flavor)

Instructions

  1. 1.Stir the electrolyte drink mix into the water until fully dissolved.
  2. 2.If using, divide the diced fruit evenly among the popsicle mold cavities.
  3. 3.Pour the electrolyte mixture into the mold, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
  4. 4.Insert popsicle sticks and freeze for at least 4 hours, until completely solid.
  5. 5.Run the mold briefly under warm water to release the popsicles before eating.

Tip

Adding a bit of diced fruit to the mold before pouring in the liquid keeps it suspended throughout the popsicle instead of all sinking to the bottom.
